Jim and I were locker partners our senior year in high school.  We were friends at school and Swope Park Baptist Church.  I remember a day that Jim, John Todd ('60), and I skipped school to go fishing and drink beer at Smithville Lake.  All three of us ended up  falling in the lake.  We had many typical teenage adventures.  He was a good and loyal friend.  I was looking forward to seeing him at the (2009) reunion.  I will certainly miss him.
