Chuck missed the 50th reunion due to failing health, but regained his strength to attend the 55th.  

His sister wrote, " I wanted to let you know we lost him September 30.  He was on his way to a funeral in Missouri and was found in the morning in a motel not too far from home.  He had not been really well for a very long time.  He will be buried in a military cemetery; his children are working out the details."
